THERE IS NO SHORTCUT FOR THE RIGHT FOOTSTEP.
THE CRAFT
Performed, not manufactured.
Foley is where uzupo began and where our deepest expertise lives. We record and perform foley for every kind of production — from feature films to animation to games. Our recordings are clean, organized, and built around what the scene actually needs rather than what is close enough.
We perform foley the way a scene deserves: with full attention, real materials, and the patience to find the sound that is actually right. Every footstep, every cloth movement, every prop is performed specifically for your project. Nothing pulled from a shelf.
What we cover: footsteps, cloth movement, props, water, and any specific performance the story calls for.
WORKING WITH US.
We don't move on until it's right.
A footstep only works if it matches a performance you've watched a hundred times. We stay inside the scene through every pass.
Foley made at a distance always sounds like it.
THE MATERIALS
A library built by hand.
Years of foley work leave you with something a shelf can't replicate — a wall of props, shoes, fabrics, and surfaces chosen for exactly how they sound, not how they look. Gravel from three different quarries. Leather that creaks right. Concrete that isn't quite concrete.
When a scene calls for something specific, we don't approximate it. We reach for the version that's actually right — and if we don't have it yet, we go find it.
WE DISAPPEAR INTO EVERY FRAME.
A footstep is a decision — the weight before it lands, the give of the ground it lands on. We chase that decision one frame at a time, until the sound isn't accompanying the picture anymore. It's part of it.
Nothing here is approximate. Every gesture is performed, watched back, and performed again — until it disappears.
EVERY GENRE EVERY SCALE
From a single short to a full game engine.
We've built foley for festival shorts, feature films, animated series, and games — each with its own rules. A game needs modular, loopable sound that survives thousands of player choices. A film needs one performance, locked to one picture, forever.
We build for whichever one we're in.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Every take earns its place.
A single scene can take dozens of takes before one earns its place in the mix — a slightly different shoe, a different surface, a different weight in the step. We don't stop at close enough. We stop when it's right.
That precision extends to sync. Every footstep, every prop, every cloth movement is placed frame-accurate against picture — not approximated, not looped. It's slow work. It's also the only way foley actually disappears into a scene instead of sitting on top of it.
